Italian Chambers of Commerce in Australia

italian chamber of commerceThe Chamber system in Australia is comprised of five ICCI’s (Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth & Sydney) and is a member of the worldwide network of 71 Italian Chambers of Commerce. Its goal is to bring together Italian and Australian companies, in order to create value and business. Its members represent different categories of business: from small and medium sized companies to multinationals and banking institutions.The system plays an important intermediary role between Italian and Australian companies, in order to facilitate bilateral trade between the two nations and to create an international and profitable business networks. The Chamber’s offer commercial services, promote the development of international activities and assists with the lobbying of appropriate bodies, to ensure the necessary infrastructure for trade and investment.

The system also has a formal structure through the formation of the National Council of Italian Chambers of Commerce in Australia in 2001, comprised of the President’s and Secretary General’s of the five Chambers, including also the First Secretary of the Italian Embassy (Canberra). The current President of the National Council is grand. uff. Paolo Mirabella (ICCI-Melbourne), whilst the Secretary is Teodoro Spiniello (ICCI-Adelaide).
