Bologna Italy

bologna italyBologna is a well known city of Northern Italy and is the capital of the region of Emilia-Romagna. It is situated in the Po Valley between the Po River and Apennine mountains. Bologna is full of medieval architecture with red brick palazzo, Renaissance towers and porticoed streets. It is a very lively place with a large student population and it is also considered as the food capital of Italy. The University of Bologna is the oldest university of Europe and has witnessed many agitations by students in the past. The city is called ‘la rossa’ which means ‘red’ and refers to its colorful buildings as well as this word is used as a metaphor for the city which elected for a communist town. Bologna Italy…
